Hi, my name is Kerri and online, I'm known as RLRose, which is short for Red
Leather Rose.
Where did that come from, you may ask? My loving
husband Joe gave me a red leather rose for an anniversary a few years ago and I
absolutely adore it. I love red, roses are my favorite flower and because
it's leather, it will last forever as a symbol of his love. Hence, Red
Leather Rose.

In a previous life, I was an
office manager, documentation specialist, and systems analyst.

Now,
I am
a stay-at-home-mom (SAHM) to
Brendan,
my ever-so-handsome 2-year-old son, and wife to Joe, a programmer dude. I have four cats,
and I collect coffee cups and teddy bears. My favorite colors are red and purple, and
I love movies, music, and scrapbooking.
While
I've always wanted to be a crafty gal, I just couldn't come up with something I was good at.
Painting? Nope, I've got too heavy a hand. Needlecraft? Cats... 'nuf said.
I've got at least 4 afghans in process and no inclination to complete them. And
I've got a few too many scars from hot glue gun accidents.
Then
I had a surprise son. All of a sudden, it mattered what I did with all those photos, 20
rolls a month, I was taking. With scrapbooking, I found my crafty passion.
Now, 3 years later, I've got a dozen
albums completed on the shelves and I love going to scrapbooking retreats with
Scrap-Alot Retreats. They
really know how to take care of scrappers here in Oregon. I use almost all
of the latest products... but about 6-9 months after they are popular. I
do love my products!
I see Scrapbooking at the latest group therapy craft,
like quilting was long ago (and still is in many parts of the country). It's a way to
preserve our photos, yes, but also a way for us to socialize with each other while we work at
our craft. It's the best way to preserve our stories with the photos we take of our
life's events and the people we care about.
